The eastern end of Franklin's Main Street is literally lined with beautiful historic homes and ancient oaks.  The boulevard down the center of the street bears our trademark street lamps.
A two block stretch of this lovely street is recommended by the Franklin Office of Development for a short walking tour.
Beginning with Hanson House, located at 114 Main Street, and ending with the Frere-O'Niel House, located at 307 Main Street, one can view 12 very elegant homes.  All the while walking under the shade of magnificent Oaks draped in moss.  Many large magnolia trees also grow in the area, lending their elegant exotic charm and beauty to the tour.
My daughter and I took the tour ourselves, so that I could post the pictures that we took here.
There are a LOT of pictures, so to minimize load time I've broken the tour down.
